Yes, we were the most decorated house on our street. And when I saw families leaving their houses in costume, a lot of them started their trick or treating at my house. Next year I must get more awesome candy. And a lot more, since we ran out at 7:30!
I need y'all to prepare yourselves for cuteness. Isaac was Count Von Count from Sesame Street for Halloween.
Did you die from the cuteness? (I will not pay medical bills from cuteness overload.)
Isaac caught on to the whole trick or treating system pretty quick. It might have helped that the first 6 or 7 houses we went to didn't open the door. Some of them I even heard talking inside. Why decorate if you're not going to give out candy? That's crummy. I put a bucket of candy on my porch for the hour we were out.
He's still a little purple. But, oh, he was so cute. There was one family that was just dying over how cute he was in his costume. And every time the grandmother said 'Oh, he is SO cute!' the mom would drop more candy in Isaac's bag.
One house gave out puzzles, and Isaac got a brand new Dr. Seuss puzzle. Which he really wanted to go straight home and work on. He was more excited about that than the candy.
